Auto dealership inventory financing and floorplan support.
Before buying more units, check what your inventory can support. We review turn, aging, floorplan exposure, payoff behavior and cash flow to determine whether the need is additional inventory capacity, operating capital or a file that needs repair first.
This route reviews dealers with existing inventory and floorplan exposure. It does not promise a startup inventory line. Approval, limits and availability depend on underwriting, collateral, documentation and provider conditions.

Floorplan, working capital or revenue-based financing
Unit-specific inventory
A floorplan finances identified units. As each vehicle sells, the associated advance is repaid under the agreement. Aging units may trigger principal reductions called curtailments. Confirm vehicle eligibility, advance basis, title controls and payoff deadlines with the provider.
Operating needs
Reconditioning, payroll, taxes and vendors may call for separate working capital. Describe each use and its deadline. An inventory line is not unrestricted operating cash; compare any new payment with the floorplan and every other obligation.
Urgent revenue-based review
Revenue-based financing is a different structure with its own screens and terms. It does not automatically replace the floorplan or remove its obligations. For an urgent deadline, check the actual qualification screen and complete-file requirements before applying; funding by a particular date is not guaranteed.
Example: $100,000 of capacity is not $100,000 of free cash
Illustration only, not an offer or an available advance rate. Assume a provider permits an 80% advance on $100,000 of eligible purchases and the business funds the difference.
- Eligible purchases
- $100,000
- Hypothetical 80% advance
- $80,000
- Dealer contribution
- $20,000
- Upfront fees paid separately
- $2,000
- Reconditioning paid separately
- $6,000
- Initial cash needed
- $28,000
The $80,000 funds purchases; this example leaves no unrestricted payroll cash. If fees are withheld from the advance, less reaches the seller and you must cover the shortfall. Confirm in writing who receives each disbursement.
Delay test: if the agreement required a 10% curtailment on the original $80,000 still outstanding, another $8,000 would be due on its scheduled date. Add that cash requirement to interest, fees, operating costs and existing payments. Do not automatically count the $8,000 as financing cost: it reduces principal. Test cash flow with sales delayed 30 days; if cash runs short, reduce purchases or resolve the gap before expanding the line.
Compare the complete cost and obligations in writing
- Disbursement: eligible purchase basis, advance percentage, cash contribution, withheld charges, reserves, direct vendor payments and any required payoff. Separate net inventory funding from unrestricted operating cash.
- Payments: fixed or variable rate, index and margin if applicable, interest calculation, billing dates, aging curtailments and sold-unit payoff deadlines. Ask for a payment calendar and the effect of slower sales.
- Cost: opening, per-unit, audit, title, renewal, unused-line and exit fees where applicable. Total repayment depends on usage, rate, time and fees; request scenarios using matching assumptions.
- Controls: excluded inventory, titles, insurance, inspections, reporting, personal guarantees, liens and any cross-default provisions. Confirm required consent, lien priority and releases before adding or replacing debt.
- Adjustments and exit: who can reduce or freeze availability, what triggers a curtailment, whether modifications can be requested and how payoff is calculated. Do not assume falling sales automatically reduce payments.
Prepare a file that reconciles by vehicle
The catalog calls for existing inventory, floorplan statements, bank statements and financials. This checklist helps explain differences before underwriting; additional documentation may be requested.
- Current inventory with VIN or stock number, cost, purchase date, age, location, title status, financed balance and sale status.
- Six months of floorplan and bank statements; reconcile balances, sold-unit payoffs, curtailments and audit exceptions.
- Dealer financial statements and current P&L, existing obligations and daily, weekly or monthly payments, including advances.
- Dealer license, business ownership, current agreements and an explanation of the use of funds, deadlines and any default or disputed balance.
From review to a possible closing
- 01
Open the review
The existing dealer intake collects your details and documents. Identify whether you need additional inventory, a replacement facility or operating capital.
- 02
Reconcile and underwrite
Aging, turn, liens, obligations and payment capacity are reviewed. Explain discrepancies between inventory, bank records and floorplan statements early.
- 03
Terms and verification
Compare the written proposal and complete controls, consents and closing conditions. Initial review is not approval or buying availability; confirm when advances can actually be drawn.
Dealer questions
Can a new dealership obtain inventory financing here?
This route focuses on existing inventory and floorplan exposure. We do not publish automatic startup approvals. Explain your operating history and resources; review will determine whether a suitable alternative is available.
Does a floorplan cover payroll or reconditioning?
That depends on permitted uses. Do not assume vehicle-secured capacity can fund operating expenses. Separate purchase cost from reconditioning, payroll and fees, and review working capital where appropriate.
Can I add capital with an existing floorplan or MCA?
Disclose every balance and agreement. Required consent, liens, guarantees and the combined payment burden need review. We do not recommend undisclosed debt or double financing a unit without authorization.
What if a vehicle does not sell on time?
Check the agreement's curtailments and maturity dates. You may need additional cash to reduce principal even without a sale. Request a delayed-sales scenario and contact the provider before missing a requirement.
Can sold-unit proceeds buy the next vehicle?
Meet the sold unit's contractual payoff deadline first. A sale without the required payoff can be a serious exception. Reconcile it with the provider; do not hide it in a new application.
Does bad credit mean guaranteed approval against vehicles?
No. Vehicles do not remove business, credit, lien or payment-capacity review. This page does not publish a universal floorplan FICO minimum. If the file does not fit, consider reducing the purchase request, correcting records or rebuilding liquidity before reapplying.
When will inventory funding be available?
That depends on documentation, inventory review, titles, consent and closing. Share the deadline at the start and request written confirmation of availability. A quick review does not guarantee an advance for a particular auction.
